Only six weeks til vacation. Which means I'm over the hump from my last break til the next...
And really, I can't wait, I'm having one hell of a time finding anything to be excited about in life of late, and while this certainly counts I'm not quite hopping around in joy quite yet...
...but in any case, three weeks in Ottawa, with maybe visits to Toronto, Montreal and the like along the way.

And I'll bring Molly the Jeep with me this time...
...I almost have to, after having dropped $1500 on uber-winter tires so that I won't get stuck anywhere.

In any event, I also want to put out the warning that I'm feeling very, not stressed...no, that's not how to describe it... very, annoyed of late - and if people try and push my buttons or get on my nerves...
...well, I just ask that people not. Ok?

For those who were asking how the hair was doing. This is me, three weeks after last shaving my head - it's coming in pretty well, and pretty thick as always (which is always a shock because people don't believe me when I told them I wasn't going bald!) Anyway, it's still got a little bit to go before it's where I'm planning it to be, but that's alright - I've got time.

I'll probably get it evened out next week and go from there.
I like it, it's a change of pace from my normal hair, and it's as long as it's been in five years.

I post this In-Flight Safety video because it's the closest thing I've been to listening to the band live, even after last night. You see - Ms. Lefty and I (the_dragon_tor) had tickets to the show, however even though we showed up slightly late, the band was only getting ready...
...and being patient folks we set about waiting for the music to begin...all amid the pretentious hipsters, weirdo indie kids and other assorted denizens of the most ridiculously small music venue I've ever seen. And wait we did - for almost two hours before saying "fuck it" and leaving. There was supposed to be an opening act, but by almost midnight no one had taken the stage, and favorite band or not - I had to work today.

So I remain unamazed and undazzled by In-Flight Safety live, and am feeling slightly cross for it.
Ah well.

a) I am going to, after five years of regularly shaving my head, grow my hair back out for a spell and try that to see if it works for me.
b) I'm going to buy an expensive, and awesome hat.
